The qualifying rounds of stroke play for the Whitehead Cup were played during the weekend at Tui Glen, and the following sixteen players will now play off for the cup:—E. O'Connell, R. O'Toole, G. W. Riddell, H. Tonks, A. Judd, J. B. Macpherson, W. H. Barton, J. A. Murray, A. Pilcher, F. Kelleher, E. Lockett, G. R. Cole, R. Murray, D. Hennessey, H.,Ferguson, and W. Barnard. Further games in the club championship resulted in E. O'Connell beating '•—. Pilcher, 6 and 5, and J. B. Macpherson beating F. Tilyard, 5 and 4. R. O'Toole and A. Judd tied in the handicap competition with. G. W. Riddell as runner-up.
