CORONATION POTTERY
(From MTtie Post's" Representative.) LONDON, August 1. King George's Jubilee Trust announces that an arrangement has been made with the British Pottery Manufacturers' Federation for the manufacture cf Coronation mugs. A portion of the proceeds of the sale will be devoted to the purposes of the trust, ■ , . • A sample mug, bearing a reproduction of the King's effigy and the RoyaJ cipher has been submitted to hif Majesty, who has approved the de« sign and the scheme of decoration. At Etruria, as well as at Burslem. the well-known firms will be bringing out specially interesting _ and artistic mementoes of the occasion.
Major Rene Fonck, a French Air wcrce officer, who shot down 75 ensmy asrpplanss during the Great War, has been promoted Lieutsnant-Celoasl la the Reserve's.
