A HAPPY EVENING

A particularly pleasant party was given recently in the Daniell Street Hall when Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins entertained over 100 guests at a party for. their daughter," Miss Betty' Wilkins. Mr. Beard presented Miss Wilkins (on behalf of her fellow-workers) with a handsome gold wristlet watch, suitably inscribed, with words of friendly appreciation from all accompanied with their good wishes. Miss Wilkins replied expressing her appreciation of the kind thoughts of her friends. She. wore a becoming frock of pale green ring velvet. ,

The supper-room was decorated in tones of pale green, and an excellent supper was served. Pleasant speeches were made,. and a very happy time spent by all the guests. During the evening a tap dance, given by Judy and Keith Woollett, gave much pleasure,'also some recitations by Miss Gwen Pragnell. The singing of "Avid Lang Syne" concluded a very happy evening.
