AMATEUR BOXING.

The Newtowh Boxing Club will hold ■ a tournament in the Wellington Show Buildings tonight when its members will try to regain possession of the Newtown Challenge Cup at present held by.the Moera Boxing Club. Those who have seen these clubs in action have highly praised the ability of the boys and the manner in which the Newtown Club has conducted the tournaments. Previously.the contests have been held in the club gymnasium, but owing to the limited number of seats available many people have been turned away. To save disappointing its patrons the club has taken the show .stadium. Two matches have been held for the cup for a win each, and, as. the | clubs are very keen, some spirited contests should' be seen. Particulars arc advertised.
