MOTOR CAMPS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I think the idea of making a motor camp at Scorching Bay is wrong. It is not a suitable place for a motor camp as it is too small and besides other drawbacks is Crown land. In time of trouble the Government might want it for military purposes. I consider an ideal place for a camp is at Moa Point, where there is a beautiful beach and plenty of room. As a ratepayer I strongly object to a motor camp at Scorching Bay. I don't know how it got the name of Scorching Bay. It should have been named Bleak Bay.—l am, etc.,
OBSERVER.
