NAPIER, July 19i . In a fast, open game the Wairarapi junior representatives. defeated Hawkes Bay this afternoon by 22-16 The horne1 team led 11-3 at the interval; after which the wind freshened m the visitors' favour and-the Bay team were kept defending. Wairarapa's backs met with success and overtook the Bays score in the middle of the second half, after which the game became most exciting and the issue was in doubt until the final whistle. Both packs worked hard and there was little to choose between them. The handling of the ball was exceptionally good in the second spell, play being kept open. Wairarapa's points cama "■om six tries and t,wo conversions, lhe Bay scored four tries with two conversions. '
