LONDON, July 17.

The. annual cricket match, Gentlemen v. Players, in which play was limited to two days, resulted in a draw. The second innings of the amateurs was declared closed at 195 for eight wickets, and the .professions, whose first innings closed for 194, had scored 63 for five wickets at stumps.

The wicket at Lord's was still slightly damp when play was resumed today, and proved to be lifeless, but the amateurs were unable to' get on top of the bowlers. Pearce, however batted with fine discrimination. Fames bowled splendidly in Players' second innings. • - Details:— 1 GENTLEMEN. First innings 130 Second Innings.
