ACRE AS SIRE OF.JUMPERS. — AIthough he has been one of the most prolific sires in recent years, the now defunct Acre has 'had very few representatives over country, the best previously probably having been' Fine Acre. In this picture two of his sons, Manawatu .(winner) and Battleground, lightweight prospects for the Grand National, are seen at the end of their strenuous battle for the honours in the Matai Steeples at Trentham last week.
