WEDDINGS.
GiUespie—Robson.
An evening wedding was- solemnised at the Church of. the Nativity, Blenheim, when Iris Maud,,elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Robson, was married to Thomas Neilll GiUespie, .Lower Hutt, eldest- son of Mr. :and.Mfs~. T. Gillespie, Wadestoyim, Wellington. The Rev. O. J. Kimberley officiated, and Mr. W. G. Randal was organist. The •bride wore ruched tcream lace over magnolia satin, Iwith cream-embroid-ered tulle veil and- orange blossom. Her bouquet was of cream''roses and freesias. The bridesmaids; Misses Connie McAllister, Brehda- Steward, 'and Betty Robson, wore apple-gfeeff talieta finished with silver'flowersand'" stitching. They carried : posies of violets and daphne. Mr. M. J* Allison was best man, and the "groomsman was Mr. B. Grimwood (both of Lower Hutt). Mrs. Robson, mother of the bride,; wore1 wine-coloured ring: velvet, with ' a small.toque to tone.: The bride travel-led-in a navy and grey checked coat; and navy hat. - . .-..;.- Teasdale—Manners. The wedding was solemnised in Sti James' Church, Lower Hutt, of Thomas James, son-of Mr. and Mrs, TeasdSle, of Palmerston North, to Ethel Edith Manners, daughter .of Mr. and Mrs. Manners, of Wads worth, London, .England. The bride, who was escorted by Mr. W. Berry, wore a gown .of ivory crepe satin finished; with -gardenias; and veil with a coronet. of' orange blossom. Her bouquet was of spring flowers. Miss Kate Bowles and Miss Frances Teasdale, -the: bridesmaids,' wore frocks' of salmon-pink satin and leghorn picture hats. They carried bouquets of japonica, pink camellias, and maidenhair fern. The flower-girls, Kathleen Rimmer and Doreen Gleeson, were in Victorian frocks of powderblue, and had rucked satin muffs instead of posies.
The Rev. H. E. K. Fry officiated and Mr. Henry Teasdale and Mr. E. Mcllraith carried out the duties of best man and groomsman.
At the reception, the guests were; received by Mrs. Gleeson, wearing a saxetblue tailleur and halo hat. The bridegroom's mother, in black silk marocain, with black model hat, carried a posy of freesias.
The bride chose brown flecked tweed for her travelling frock, with fawn coat £.nd hat.
