Christchurch.—Playing in bright weather and on grounds in fair winter condition. Albion 15 beat Sydenham 14; Merivale 31 beat University 19; Sunnyside 11 beat Athletic 0; Christchurch 21 beat Linwood 8.
Dunedm.— By defeating University A 15-3 at Carisbrook on Saturday, South-ern-established a four-point lead and virtually won the premiership, which it holds from last season. Union is in third place and Kaikorai and Pirates next equal. Southern 16 beat University A3; Kaikorai 6 beat Pirates 3; Union 14 beat Alhambra 0; Taieri 15 beat Zingari 11; Dunedin 9 beat University B 5.
New Plymouth.— Northern division: United 21 beat Star 6; Tukapa 15 beat Stratford 14; Clifton 11 beat Inglewood 6. Southern division: Hawera 18 beat Opunake 3; Okaiawa 18 beat Patea 11; Athletic 28 beat Eltham nil; Kaponga 9 beat Waimate 3.
