DRAW ON WEST COAST

WESTPORT, July 11.
A Rugby match for the Run die Cup, played at Victoria Square this afternoon in fine weather, before a large attendance, between Buller (holders) and West Coast, ended in a draw, 3 points each. A penalty goal was kicked by Stewart for Buller and a try was scored by Pfahlert for West Coast. The ground was on the heavy side.
The play generally was drab, the forwards playing vigorously,', but the backs lacking the sparkle of the earlier game at Greymouth. West Coast had a territorial advantage, but Buller were more penetrative. Each side narrowly missed other, scores. King, Kirkwood, Olsen, and Scandrett (forwards), and Hendry, Mann, and. Pfahlert (backs) were the.best West Coast men, and Orman, Corrie;' Mason, and Easton (forwards); and Hill, Stewart, Strachan, and Handscombe (backs) the best for Buller. .
