Brooklyn R.S.A.
Pleasant social parties have been held at Brooklyn recently in connection with the local branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association. A euchre tournament passed off successfully, the prize-winners being Mr. D. Moug, Mrs. A. Anderson, Mesdames Bloom and Perry. A "Ladies' Club" afternoon was attended by a large number of club members and friends. Carpet bowls, bridge, and other games were all enjoyed, and afternoon tea was much appreciated. Mrs. Wright spoke and gave an invitation to others to join the club, several expressing their willingness to join the social committee. Another evening gathering was attended by men's club members and their wives, when carpet bowls was the chief amusement. Cards and dancing were also enjoyed, with supper by a good fire, and some billards closed 1 a pleasant gathering.

Red Cross Ball. It was decided at a meeting held in the Repertory Rooms last evening to hold a Red Cross Ball, a fancy dress one (on the same lines as that held by the Chelsea Arts Ball) in , the near future. A cdmmittee was formed to make all necessary arrangements to ensure the success of the ball.
Red Cross Social Club. The Pandora Dramatic and Musical Society will stage three short plays in the Red Cross Lecture Hall, Dixon Street, on Thursday night, in aid of the Red Cross funds. It is hoped that the public will patronise this performance of these talented players, and in so doing help-a great and deserving cause. An advertisement appears elsewhere in this issue.
