As the result of a sequence of fires on Saturday- nights during the past few weeks, none of which assumed serious proportions owing to the efficiency of. the brigade, the police on Saturday evening kep4 watch on premises likely to be visited by the suspected "fire bug." j The outcome of this action was the arrest of a youth red-handed by a constable who caught him while he was attempting to set fire to stables which were the scene of an outbreak exactly a week previously. - The youth was brought before the Court and remanded.
