A- light-heavyweight boxing contest this evening between Roy de Gans (12st 21b), the American negro, and Ray Nicol (12st 61b), was won by de Gans on points. There was a packed house. De Gans won practically every xo # und. Over the second half .of the contest he scored at will and punished Nicol heavily. De Gans has been matched to box Tiny Nicholls- (Australian heavyweight) at Invercargill on July 1. Nicholls will meet Max Rosenbloom at Sydney Stadium on June 15, and leaves [for New Zealand immediately afterwards. • •
