TAWA FLAT AFFAIRS
ASSOCIATION'S NEW NAME
It was decided at a recent general meeting of the Tawa Flat Progressive and Beautifying Association to alter the name of the association to the Tawa Flat Progressive and Ratepayers Association. It was contended that the effect of the alteration would be that those to whom representations were made in the future would know that the association spoke on behalf of both the householders -and the ratepayers of the district. Representations are to be made .to the Post and Telegraph Department for a telephone call box with dial and slot equipment to be erected outside the Post Office store other suitable place. It is felt by membe of the association that this will be a gre&t asset to Tawa Flat, and that in, the event of urgent calls having to be made, especially during the night, less inconvenience will occur to the residents and the postal officer in the district. , , All efforts are to be made by the association to have the pieces of native bush reserved in the district for all ' time.
