REFUSED A DUEL
MAN SHOT THROUGH CHEST! ARREST ON MURDER CHARGE (Received June 1, 10.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. When he is alleged to have refused to fight a duel with rifles at Boomi, near Mudgee, William Duncombe, aged 32, a farm worker, was shot through the chest and killed instantly, according to the police. A man has been arrested and charged with murder.
