MEN OF KENT
ANNUAL MEETING Dr. C. J. Reakes. G.B.R. presided, at ; the annual meeting of the Men of Kent and Kentish Men's Association on Saturday evening. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron,, Sir William HallJones; president, Dr. G. J. Reakes;vicepresident, Mr. J. • E;- Trillett; general secretary, Mr. R. A. Large; social secretary; Mr. A. Parsons, jun.; auditors, Messrs. W. Marshall end A. L. Edwards. ■.' . ' , The work of the social committee, which had done a great deal towards, augmenting the funds of the associa-' tion, was eulogised by the chairman. On the motion of Mrs. J. Edwards, it was resolved that a benevolent trust fund be created as from June 1, 1936. The fund is to assist, as far as possible any benevolent object or .any native . of the, county who may be in need and whom the council deem worthy of assistance. The assets of the trust fund shall belong thereto in perpetuity, and shall not be deemed to form any part of the assets of the association.; At the conclusion of the. business " members and friends Were entertained at a social'function. '' ;
