OBITUARY
MRS. S. L. PARTRIDGE.
The announcement of. the death of Mrs. Mabel Jane Partridge, wife of Mr. S. L. Partridge, of Tui Street, Fendalton, Christchurch, was received on Wednesday with profound regret by a large circle of friends, says the Christchurch "Press." Though for a few days before her death she had ;been receiving medical treatment, she was seriously ill for only 12 hours.
.The youngest daughter of Major William Radcliffe, Mrs. Partridge was born in Melbourne, but, at an early age, she came to Christchurch, where her father was. well knowri amongst the early residents^ Ever since her marriage, Mrs.' Partridge. has given widespread service to tjhie community, and her cheerfulness, her enthusiasm, and her efficiency made her a valued member of many important societies ;for the betterment of her- fellow ctti;zens. In Karori, Roseneath, and Day's Baiy, where she formerly lived, she took ;an active interest in church work, :an interest that was continued when she made her home in Christchurch.
