A service was conducted, at the monument on Sugar-Loaf Hill, Brooklyn, by the Revs.\G. K/Moir'arid D. M. Hercus and.Captain Smith..-.- Led by the Salvation Army Training College Band in charge =-.of ,'Captain S. A. Smith, members" of the Brooklyn Returned Soldiers' Association,^ Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, and school children marched from the Brooklyn train terminus to the memorial.. . • Ah- address was given by Major J.

had proved how necessary..it was to 1 fightlor. our own-ideals. Ex-servieemeu all'over "the?-Empire viewed with concern'"the intense national feeling that ■ was evident in Europe; they did not want, but they' did believe in being prepared. ' - A wreath was placed on the monument by the chairman of the Brooklyn R.SIA., Dr. B. E. Wright, and Cadet Adams, of the Salvation Army Training College Band, sounded the "Last Post" and the "Reveille.'!' ■
