Charles Farrell to be Seen.

Charles Farrell, the famous American film star and erstwhile partner of Janet Gaynor, will arrive in Wellington on Wednesday and make personal appearances at the Majestic and St. James Theatres at both matinee and evening performances that day. He will sing two songs, "I'm a Dreamer" and "If I Had a Talking Picture of You." Mr. Farrell, who is the first of the major actors from, the United States to appear under engagement here, will reach Auckland today by the Aorangi from Sydney". He has appeared with remarkable success in leading Australian . theatres with an act in which he sings and relates many of his experiences in the film world, great crowds giving him most enthusiastic receptions. He will arrive in Wellington by the Limited on Wednesday morning. In the days of silent films Charles Farrell and Janet Gaynor reached the zenith of their popularity in "Seventh Heaven." Thereafter they were established as the screen's favourite lovers,, and their subsequent talking productions together, including "Sunny Side Up" and "Delicious," "Change of. Heart" and "High Society Blues" were among their outstanding hits. Mr. Farrell has since appeared in several successful features, and is under a long-term contract on his return to America.
