The Woodville trainer F. W. Davit left for Auckland last night, taking Haut Monde, Karl, Black Friar, and Birthday Party. The Awapuni horseman W. J. Broughton has' been engaged to do the riding for the stable.
N. Cavaney, the ' promising apprentice jockey attached to the Davis stable, will ride at the Wairarapa Meet- " ing at Easter and he has been engaged for Flammarion on the first day and Le Touquet and Confiscation on. the second. . ■ '. ■: ■?
