TRAFFIC OFFENCES

Offences against the bylaws and traffic regulations were dealt with in the Magistrate's Court today by Mr, E. D. Mosley, S.M.

For driving in a manner that might have been dangerous, Leo John Critchley was fined £2 and costs and had his licence endorsed. A fine of 20s and costs was imposed on James Clulow for negligent driving. Walter Burton, Eric William Parsloe, and Bertram Walter Sugar were each fined 30s and costs for exceeding the speed limit. David Edward Good and Ronald William Robertson were fined £2 and costs for similar offences. For exceeding the speed limit round a corner, Glyn Jones was fined 20s and costs. ■' ;

Fines of 10s and costs for breaches of the parking regulations were imposed on Spencer Bruce Clarke, Arthur Goodman, Free Grant, William Jardine, and Craig Renner. Abraham Joseph was fined 10s and costs on the first of two such charges, and ordered to pay costs on the second. For failing to stop when requested Frederick Arthur Biggs was fined 10s and costs. Arnold Hamilton was fined 10s and costs for failing to comply with a signal.

Thomas William Lawton was convicted for driving without a licence and ordered to pay costs. For passing a tram-car on the wrong side William David McClintock was ordered to pay costs. .
