MANCHESTER RETURNING
BRITISH RUGBY STRENGTH
SYDNEY, March 31,
. Passengers aboard the Wanganella, which sailed tonight for Wellington, include the All Black captain, J. E. Manchester, who, in an interview, expressed the opinion that the New Zealanders' tour had been highly successful. Their three defeats had been due to excellent team work on the part of the victors rather than individual brilliance.
He was greatly impressed by the good general standard of play throughout the British Isles, which was much better, in ■ fact, than the New Zealanders had expected. All the games had been played in a fine spirit, and he personally had had a splendid experience.
