DE LUXE THEATRE.

Rising to new heights of dramatic achievement,1 the glamorous and regal Kay Francis wins new laurels for her performance in the current De Luxe Theatre attraction, "I Found Stella Parish.'? The beautiful star is given tremendous scope to display her histrionic ability as the woman who wins success only to find it torn ruthlessly away :from her through the appearance of a black shadow from out of the past in the person of a man who knows the secret of her double life. Once again Miss Francis is given some gorgeous gowns' to wear. "I Found Stella Parish" boasts a fine cast, supporting players to the star including the English leading man* lan Hunter, Paul Lukas, Sybil Jason (the little six-year-old star), and Barton Mac Lane. The programme features an outstanding array of featurettes, and another brilliant musical presentation by- the Orchestra De Luxe, under the direction of Mr. L. 5» Austin, supplemented by the organ.

Francis Lederer, international stage and screen favourite, is co-starred with Ginger Rogers in this poignant story of a friendless, penniless immigrant boy who looks towards America' as the Promised Land, and whose gallant fight for romance.and happiness brings him into a series of gripping episodes, in the substratum of the metropolis. Cast as the heroine is sparkling Ginger Rogers, "Queen . of' Carioca," and exponent of the famous "Continental," who ..plays, a lighthearted chorus girl whose generosity far exceeds the scope of her meagre earnings. Others in the cast include such outstanding performers as J. Farrell-Macdonald, Lillian' Harrner; and Jimmie Butler, popular boy actor. The film is said to reach a startlingdramatic pitch when the immigrant youth is threatened with deportation but is saved through a series of unexpected developments.
