Appreciation of the arrangements made by the New Zealand Railways for the.recent tour of the Empire primary producers' party' is contained in the .following 'letter ; received from Major-General F. J. Duncan, the leader of the party, addressed to the General Manager of Railways:—
"Dear Sir,—-We are leaving New Zealand tomorrow to our very great regret. Before "our' departure I would ask you to accept, on behalf of my party, our very warm appreciation of all your Department has done to, ensure our comfort in the many journeys we have undertaken. On no single occasion was there any difficultywhatever and ' the arrangements throughout have' been excellent. 1 should particularly like to thank the many motor drivers for their care and courtesy, as also those in charge of steamer transport. The hotels have been first class, and we could not have been more comfortable. We are very grateful to you'and to your staff and if you think fit it would be a great satisfaction, to us if you could see your way to express our thanks and appreciation to the members of your staff who have done so much to ensure the success of our tour."
