WORLD'S TIN STATISTICS.
Apparent world consumption of tin increased by more than 20 per cent., from 117,681 to 141,524 tons, during 1935. There was a very close agreement between the amount of tin nroduced in 1935 (139,053 tons) and the quantity used in ■ manufacture (139,000 tons, approximately). ■ : A change in the policy of consumers is indicated by the fact that in 1935 there was an ■ increase of about 2500 tons in invisible stocks, while in 1934 there was a decrease of 12,300 tons.'' Total visible stocks of tin decreased during 1935 from 17,107 tons to 13,841 tons, but this decrease was largely offset by a rise to 16,052 tons in January of this year. The United States of America used 44 per cent, of. the world's tin in 1935, compared with 37 per cent,* in 1934. -
