JUBILEE CHOIR.

A SUCCESSFUL YEAR

The successful year that the Jubilee. Choir had in 1935 was a matter for general congratulations all round at last night's annual general meeting over which Monsignor Connolly presided. The report of the executive committee, which was adopted, expressed thanks to all members of the choir for the loyalty and cohesion displayed during; the year. The number of concert performances in which the choir took part during the year was four, and the number of rehearsals 40. As a result of the choir's concerts during the,year a sum of more than £50 had been raised for various charities. Appreciative reference was made to the services of Mr. F. J. Oakes as conductor,', Mr. M. Fernie, accompanist, and' Mr. H. Mount, deputy accompanist. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, his Grace Archbishop O'Shea; president, Monsignor Connolly; vicepresidents, Rev. Dr. Mcßac, Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C.. Messrs. T. B. Guscott, Ultan. F. McCabe, J. J. L. Burke, P. H. Putnam; secretary, Mr. W. Wickliffe; treasurer, Mr. F. Hepburn; committee, Misses O'Brien, Keogh, Griffen, Messrs. V: McKeown, McLean, Kelly.
