SYMPHONY CONCERT
Some day, perhaps, Wellington will provide itself with an attractive concert room wTiere womenkind can wear charming frocks and show them to ad-vantage-and not be obliged to muffle up in wraps as at present. A place of amusement can be so attractive with the light falling on bright colours in the audience, and the flash of jewellery at times, making for an artistic atmosphere in which to enjoy beautiful sounds, such as were produced at the Symphony Orchestra's concert last night, and which attracted a large audience. However, judging from the enthusiasm, the audience .was quite content with things as, they were.
Among the many present were', the following:-^The president of the socjety, Mr. D.'A. EWen, and ' Mrs. Ewen, Lady Myers,. Lady Shirtcliffe, Captain and Mrs. L. Vaughan Morgan, Mr. L.
