PETONE-HUTT CAS BOARD

The chairman, Mr. W. G. Lodder, presided at last evening's meeting of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting The works manager, Mr. C. Shaw, reported that during January the gas j manufactured was 9,466,000 cubic feet, which was a decrease of 553,000 cubic feet compared with January, 1935, and an increase of 161,000 cubic feet over December, 1935. The- average make per ton was 15,442 cubic feet. In his report for January, the secretary, Mr. O. Silbery, stated that 19 new services, 27 new cookers,! builder's cooker, 6 coppers, 3 caliphonts, 3 gas rings, and 28 new meters were installed. ■
