SILVERSTREAM TEA PARTY
An afternoon tea party was given yesteday by Mrs. E. G. F. Zohrab at her beautiful home in Chatsworth Road, Silverstream, for Miss Garrett, of Torquay, England. Miss Garrett has been the guest of Mrs. R. Beere at Silverstream for about a year and is returning home at the beginning of next month.
Deep pink and blue hydrangeas from Mrs. Zohrab's garden were arranged in huge bowls and blended charmingly with the furnishings of the drawing-room. Tea was served in the dining-room and on the long, wide glassed-in verandah which overlooks smooth, sloping lawns and English trees and the bush-clad hiHs on the opposite side of the valley. Mrs. Zohrab was wearing a black: crepe de chine frock sprigged with white, and Miss Garrett, whom her hostess had presented with a bouquet of pink and blue flowers, wore biscuit georgette and a wide scarlet straw hat. Among the guests were Mrs. R. Beere, Mrs. J. Adams and Miss Adams, Miss Baber, Mrs. D. Stewart, Mrs. Moss, Mrs. Gifford, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Langdon, Miss O'Hara-Smith, Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Toy, and Miss Farrow.
