The British train, the Cheltenham flyer, was the first train in the world to run on a regular schedule of over 70 miles an hour, and a few weeks ago it completed a thousand runs at this high speed. The lime for its nonstop run between Swindon and Paddington Is 65 minutes for just over 77 miles, and more than 100,000 passengers have travelled on the train during its thousand rum.
