WOMEN'S CRICKET

VISIT TO AUCKLAND

The "Wellington Ladies' Cricket Association representatives leave tomorrow afternoon for Auckland, where they are to play the Auckland representatives for the Hallyburton-Johnstone Shield on Saturday and Monday, and for the Amalgamated Theatres' Shield on Tuesday. Misses Jean Mack and M. Moore are unable to go with the team, and their places have been taken by Misses L. Harris and V. Taylor. Miss H. McLellan was also unavailable. The final selection is as follows:—Miss I. Pickering (captain), Mesdames P. Sampson, and D. Simons, and Misses H. Buck, J. Holmes, N. Sheridan, J. Stenberg, A. Ell, D. Hatcher, V. Taylor, O. Whitelaw, and L. Harris. Mrs. W. Bock will accompany the team as manageress. The team is expected to arrive back in Wellington next Thursday morning.
