Kilbimie Speedway.

For the first' time in the history, of speedway racing in New Zealand a team of English riders is to compete on Saturday night against one chosen from this country and Australia in a series of three Test matches. Held under the sanction of the English Autocycle Union, these will constitute the first official races between the colonies and England. The first Test; held at Christchurch last Saturday, resulted in a victory for the colonies by 30 points to 17. The second match is to be held at Wellington on Saturday, and the final Test at Auckland the following week. • The teams are as follows: — England.—E. Langton (captain), B. Clibbett, S. Greatrex, and B. Harrison. Colonies.—D. Case (captain) and L. Van Praag (Australia), W. Kilmister (Wellington), and J. Hobson (Chriscchurch). The combined team is the same as that which won the first Test. The captain of the American team at present in New Zealand has issued a written challenge to race a New Zealand team in Test matches, and agrees to forfeit all prize money in the event of his . team being defeated. His challenge reads: "We hereby agree to meet the New Zealand team and ride for no prize money in case we cannot defeat a six-man team in Test matches. — (Signed) P. Mossman."
