HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION
As a sequel to a recent decision of th' management committee o± the ±iuu Valley Cricket Association to suspend the lease of North Park No. 1 wicket owing to alleged lack of attention, the club concerned, in a letter read at last night's meeting of the committee, strongly protested against the committee's attitude in making the decision without giving the club any official warning. , , ~ The letter also referred to the suspension of payments on the wicket which, it is claimed, was prepared. After a short, discussion, it was decided that a deputation from the club concerned be invited to attend the next meeting of the committee. Notification of the acceptance of the Hutt Valley Cricket Association as an affiliated body to the Wellington Cricket Association was received from the latter body, together with a copy of a signed agreement. One clause m | the agreement, however, was considered unsatisfactory. It was decided to apply to the Wellington Cricket Association for permission to play the Christchurch City and Suburban Association during the Easter holidays.
