WELLINGTON SUMMER TROTS
FINE FIELDS AT HUTT PARK
HORSES LIKELY TO CLAIM ATTENTION •
The best fields for years feature the acceptances for the opening day of the Wellington Trotting Club's Summer Meeting at Hutt Park tomorrow, anc* prospects are for a highly-successful fixture. The twoday meeting, with trotting midweek, is an innovation for Wellington, and it will be interesting to observe if the move is as popular with the public as it obviously has been with owners. The trotting fare should at least be as high as it has ever been at the Park. The New Zealand Trotting Gold Cup, which some years ago was a leading light-harness event, has been reinstated after a lapse of two years and the response of owners has more than justified the club's progressive policy. The field for tomorrow's race is a particularly strong one, and the evenness of the candidates will make for a wide range of betting. •
