While carrying a milk-can and wheeling a bicycle on a short cut over the railway lino a quarter of a mile from Gleneden Station, Claude Hack, aged 17, a son of Mr. William Hack, was struck by a mixed train at 7 o'clock this morning, and was killed instantly. The body, which was badly mutilated, was carried over 50ft. The police and a doctor were summoned, and the body was brought to the city.
