RESCUE OF ELLSWORTH

CABLE TO MR. SAVAGE

Grateful recognition of the help given by the New Zealand Government in connection with the relief expedition of the ship Discovery to Antarctica, is expressed by the American explorer, Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth, in the following cable message to the Prime Minister (the Hon. M. J. Savage):—

"Hollick-Kenyon and I have just learned and are deeply grateful for the wonderful way in which you responded to the relief of my expedition. Both Kenyon and I assure you how much Aye feel the honour accorded us by your Government in co-operation with the Commonwealth Government and the Discovery Committee, London, and we cannot thank you enough for all that has been done."
