CARNIVAL AT EVANS BAY.

Entertainment- for-, all is to be. had at the Wellington Municipal Band's Carnival at Evans Bay. The carnival is to be held for nine days and nights and the object of it is to raise funds to enable the band to :take part in the New Zealand band contest a£ New Plymouth'in February. Chief among,the many attractions the carnival, offers is,a daily parade.of beach beauties. The tug-of-war competition is another event which will claim con-siderable-".interest.

Children's: races ,are to be held at 3 pm. tomorrow, at 230 p m on Saturday, and,- at 1,30 p.m. -.on January 4. Many novelty events are r ihcluded in the programme. ~

No carnival is complete without sideshows. Im this , connection the Tramways Band .Carnival has plenty to offer. There will be all,the* fun of the-fair-and good patronage is anticipated:
