SCHNEIDEMAN- PITKOWSKY

The Synagogue, Wellington Terrace, was tastefully decorated with pink roses and green ferri recently for the marriage of Sally, daughter of Mrs. F. Pitkowsky, to Leslie, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Schneideman, Auckland. A large crowd attended the ceremony, which was performed by Rabbi Katz, assisted by the Eev. Mr. Kantor. The bride, who was escorted by Mr. Isaac Van Staveren, looked charming in a gown of parchment satin cut on slim classical lines and forming a long train at the back. Her veil of cream lace had been sent by Mrs. Keith Pitt, Sydney, especially for the occasion. Miss Fay Manning, who attended the bride, wore green georgette, the only trimming being pink roses at the neck line. Little Jocelyn Meltzer, dressed in pink georgette, made a very delightful picture as flower girl. Master Arnold Solomons, dressed in a suit of white satin, acted as page. The duties of best man were carried out by the bride's brother, Mr. Maurice Pitkowsky, and Mr. Leo Manning, Dunedin, acted as groomsman. Mrs. Pitkowsky, dressed in heavy black marocain with beaded effect at the back, entertained a large number of friends at a reception held at the "Elm." Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Schneideman left early in the evening, the bride wearing a suit of blue wool georgette trimmed with grey Arctic fox.
