M. Laval's Government virtually certain after the Foreign Affairs debate on December 27. Leading members of the Radical Socialist Party throughout demanded stronger support of Great Britain over the League sanctions. Many voted against M. Laval on Tuesday and others only refrained out of loyalty to M. Herriot as a member of Cabinet. Without M. Herriot the Radicals, who have a majority vote in the Chamber, have little reason for longer supporting M. Laval. •
