ICE ON AEROPLANE WINGS

LONDON, December 18.

Sir Philip Sassoon announced in the House. of Commons that a chemical method, of preventing ice forming on the wings of aircraft had been discovered by the R.A.F. establishment at Farnborough and was now being developed. '

. Great Britain at present, had 1180 first-line aircraft in the R.A.F., as compared with 1015 last May.
