NICHOLS—LIDDLE.

An evening wedding was solemnised at St. Jobn's Church, Johnsonville, when Ngaia Elizabeth, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Liddle, Johnsonville, was married *o James Keith, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Nichols, Ngaio. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Isaacson, oi Greytown, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Samuda. Mr. W. Richardson was at the organ, and the choir sang "O Perfect Love." During the signing of the register Mrs. R. Johnson, Karori, sang "God's Garden." The church was tastefully decorated with arum lilies. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was becomingly gowned in cream satin, made with a cowl' neckline finished with diamante buckles, long sleeves with tiny buttons to the elbow, and. the skirt was cut on slim lines,1 falling in folds at the back to form a long train. Her beautiful embroidered veil was held in place by a coronet of tiny arum lilies, and she carried a sheaf of Christmas lilies. The bridesmaids, Miss Nancy Nichols, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Joan Bryant, were dressed' alike in striking frocks of delicate pink lace over satin of a deeper shade, made on straight lines with short trains. They wore haloes of silver lame finished with pink flowers, long pink mittens, and carried bouquets of pink roses. Little Enid- Brittenden, cousin of the bride, made a charming flower girl in a dainty ankle-length frock of blue silk net, with a wreath of pink and blue forget-me-nots on her golden hair, and she carried a posy of pink and blue flowers. Mr. John Withers was best man, and Mr. Lloyd Liddle groomsman. Mr. T. Bowler and Mr. A. Campbell were ushers. ; As me bride left the church she was presented with a satin horseshoe by little Lola Kench. A reception followed by a dance was held in the Tawa Flat Hall. The guests were received by Mrs. Liddle, mother of the bride, who wore a becoming frock of brown satin, . with hat to tone, and a shoulder spray of pink roses. She was assisted by Mrs. Nichols, mother of the bridegroom, who wore a striking frock of wine lace trimmed with velvet and hat to tone, and carried a posy of dark ted roses. . Mrs. Bishop, grandmother of the bride, wore a smart navy blue ensemble and navy hat. Among the many guests were Mr. and Mrs. Brittenden, Mrs. Rundle and Miss Rundle (Bell Block), Mrs. Wyatt (Fitzroy), Mr. and Mrs. W. Neill (sister of the groom), Mrs. Turner- and Misses Turner, Mrs. Bowler, Mrs. Lemare, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Smith, Mr., and Mrs. Bell, Mr. and Mrs. Spillman (Paraparaumu), Mr. and Mrs. Alex Moore, Mr. and Mrs..W. Prince, the Misses Prince, Mr. and Mrs.
