AVALANCHE DISASTER
HOUSES OVERWHELMED
88 PEOPLE DEAD
MOSCOW, December 9.
An avalanche swept down the Yukspor Mountain upon the city of Kirovsk, crushing several houses. Two thousand workers rushed out to assist the trapped inhabitants and extricated 47 alive, three of whom died later. Eighty-five dead were found among the debris.
