CONCERT FOR THE BLIND

A highly successful concert for the blind was given by Mrs. Ethel Hardies entertainers in the Radiant Hall, Dixon Street, recently. The performance was greatly appreciated by the large audience, every item being encored again and again. At the conclusion of the performance, the secretary thanked Mrs. Hardie and • her party for the enjoyable evening.

The programme was as follows:— Overture, "Blaze Away," Mr. George Austin; soprano solo, "Love's Own Sweet Kiss," Mrs. L. Rosenthall; comic song and patter, "It's Me," Victor Wilkie; American tap dance, Miss Mavis Thistall; songs at the piano, Mrs. Ethel Hardie; recitation, "Foolish Questions," Miss Winnie Thompson; pianoforte solo, selected, Mrs. Metcalfe; comic song and dance, Master Leslie Hardie; song, "The Stoker," Mr. H. Wilkinson; monologue, "The Spartan Soldier," Mr. C. Collinson; songs at the piano, Mrs. Ethel Hardie; Irish jig, Mrs. Mavis Thistall; song, Miss Betty Rosenthall; monologue, "Morals," Mrs. Ethel Hardie. The. accompanists were Mrs. Metcalf and Mrs. Hardie.
