PAST MONTH'S WORK

The monthly meeting ox -fne, "Wellington centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society (Inc.): was held: yesterday, Mr. C. H. Chapman; M.P., presiding. ■.'*■■ .-■■•'.,■ The chairman reported further progress in the arrangement of the camp for. the. Voluntary Aid Detachment at Easter, 1936. The Hospital Board had been' approached and had agreed to placing the Macarthy Home at the disposal of the society for the.camp, subject meantime to it not being required for occupation. Already considerable enthusiasm was being evinced by the nurses- for the proposed camp. The competition among sections of the Wellington Voluntary Aid Detachment for the Ethel Challis Cup would be held on Monday. The competition for the George Shirtcliffe trophy for first aid was arranged. for last evening. • ■ : It was resolved "that a grant of £2 2s be made to Toe H for the Christmas camp.
