A CORDIAL FAREWELL
BISHOP AND MRS. SPROTT
There was a wonderful atmosphere of warmth and kindliness at the reception given to the Bishop of Wellington and Mrs. Sprott yesterday afternoon in the Concert Chamber, which was crowded to capacity .with parishioners of many parishes and many personal friends.
Mrs. Sprott wore an afternoon frock of black satin and lace, and a shoulder cluster of yellow roses, also a wide black straw hat. She was presented with an arm-shower of pink roses, rhododendrons, and fern. Mrs. Coleridge, who was in beige lace, with a smart brown coat and matching brown hat of fine straw, had also a lovely gift of flowers arranged in the same effective manner. There was a bowl of choice roses on the central table, and palms were used in decorating the front of the stage. Miss Campbell (Mrs. Sprott's sister) was in black with touches of cream.
A number of friends, after the ceremony of farewell and presentation of the wallet containing a cheque, met the guests of honour in, the vestibule and had the pleasure of a few words with them.
