SUNNY MAID'S MISHAPS

Sunny Maid missed her Feilding engagements owing to slight mishaps during training last week. It was hoped that, though withdrawn on the firstday, she might be able to go down on Sunday for the' second day, but she suffered another setback on the Hastings track on Saturday. The mishaps have not been of a serious nature, and she will probably be taking her place in the sprint at Woodville tomorrow. Commenting on her form as it was prior to her setbacks, a Hastings writer says: . "The mishaps were very unfortunate, as she was going exceptionally well. and. being right back to her. best form, she would have been very, hard to defeat at her weight last weekend." '
