The Bishop of Waikato (Dr. Cherrington) is sailing for England by the lonic on February 15. He will preach and speak there on behalf of six parishes in the diocese which are burdened by heavy debts (states "The Church Chronicle"). The sum necessary to wipe them out is £5000 and the Bishop hopes while in England to supplement the efforts which these parishes have been making for several years to get free of debt. He expects to be away for the. best part of a year.
The Rev. W. A 8001, formerly assistant curate at St. Mary's, Hawera, is now the vicar of Holy Trinity, Ngaruawahia.
The Rev. F. 'L. Frost, vicar of Taradale, has resigned his parish and also the editorship of the "Waiapu" Church Gazette." Canon Neild will succeed him as editor. '#
