LATE MR. ROBERTSON-TAYLOR
The funeral-oi-the late Mr. Lonsdale Francis Robertson-Taylor, who' died as a result of injuries ■ received when his motor-cycle capsized on the Hutt Road last Friday, fobk place this, morning. There was a large and representative attendance, including representatives of the Oddfellows' Lodge, St. John's Ambulance, and many of the deceased's fellow workers. ■,-.■■ ,
A service was conducted at the Wellington City Mission Chapel by the Rev. T. Fielden Taylor, who also conducted the service at the crematorium. The pallbearers were Messrs. D. Donnelly, L. Griffiths, J. Kellerman, B. Turner, R. Stead, and L. Taylor. The chief mourners were Mrs. J. Mullins, Mrs. V. Baker, Mrs. Jack London, Mr. A. V. Knapp, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor, and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Knapp. Included among the large attendance were the following representatives of the Oddfellows' Lodge:—Bro. G. F. Rudkin, G.W., representing, • the Grand Lodge of New Zealand; Bro. A. J. Bargh, D.D.G.M., representing the Hutt Valley district;" Bro. E. Batten, C.P., representing Te-atami encampment; and Bro. R. W. Johnson, P.G., representing Ngati-awa Lodge, No. 152.
Many beautiful floral tributes were received.
A bullock ran amuck in Hull recently ■and several persons were hurt. It was finally cornered in a coal yard and suffered the. extreme penalty.
