FORMATION IN GREECE
ISSUE OF AMNESTY DECREE
DEMERDJIS'S POLICY
ATHENS, November 30.
M. Demerdjis has completed the formation of an emergency Government which does not include professional politicians. Its first act, after the swearing-in, was to announce that a decree of amnesty for all political offenders, accompanied by restoration of property in the majority of cases unless obtained irregularly, would be issued on December 2. The leaders of the March rebellion, including M. Venizelos and General Plastiras, although granted an amnesty, will not recover their property, and officers will not be reinstated in the army, thus placating the anti-Venizelists.
General Kondylis declared himself satisfied with the King's, attitude.
M. Demerdjis's programme includes free elections, Budget economies, strengthening of the defences, fidelity of international agreements, adhesion to the Balkan entente, and friendship with all countries.
